At the 2022 ABB Electrical Innovation Week, we will witness the 1,000,000th VD4 medium voltage circuit breaker in China coming off the assembly line.

At the same time, the new generation of digital UniGear ZS3.2 air-insulated switchgear will make its world premiere during the Innovation Week. The new UniGear 3.2 series has a clear air distance of more than 300mm, which meets the requirements of the State Grid technical specifications; Through the intelligent temperature rise algorithm based on machine learning, it helps customers accurately grasp the status of equipment and effectively reduce the operating costs of the whole life cycle. For the first time, the 40.5kV air cabinet realizes the remote operation of the electric hand car and electric ground knife, helping the new energy power field to fully realize the unattended substation. The new UniGear ZS 3.2 improves the safety and intelligence of switchgear electrical equipment, facilitates the comprehensive construction of digital grids, and leads the digital future.

In addition, the UniGear ZS1 switchgear robot assembly workstation will also be unveiled at the Innovation Week, which automates the assembly process of switchgear cabinets, and can assemble dozens of materials into complete cabinets without manual participation. Three ABB industrial robots with a high degree of integration and two sets of servo rotary platforms achieve the same functions as traditional lines in a limited space, making them more intelligent and flexible. The system integrates a variety of vision systems to guide the position and correct the posture of the robot, and through the use of deep learning algorithms based on neural networks, the robot can imitate the manual compensation and correction of the assembly deviation caused by sheet metal deformation, so as to achieve unprecedented process stability; Based on ABB Ability's digital solution, the system can be offline programmed and parameterized for a variety of cabinet types, and at the same time connected to the factory MES system to achieve information interconnection between systems and data transparency, visualization and intelligence.

Breakthroughs in robotic manufacturing technology have enabled the UniGear ZS1 to reach a whole new level of assembly accuracy, consistency, and quality stability.
