First, the difference in working principle

Photoelectric sensors are controlled by converting changes in light intensity into changes in electrical signals. The laser sensor first emits a laser pulse by aligning it with a laser emitting diode. After being reflected, the laser light is scattered in all directions. Part of the scattered light is returned to the sensor receiver, where it is received by the optical system and imaged onto the avalanche photodiode and converted into the corresponding electrical signal.

Second, the difference in light sources

The light source of the photoelectric sensor can be red light and infrared light, but the laser sensor is a sensor that uses laser technology to measure. The difference here is that the spot of red light and infrared light is large, and the farther the interval will be, the larger it is, which is not conducive to detecting small objects, the light source of the laser sensor is laser, the same is the light source, the light source will change the size with the distance between the distance, the difference between the laser and the ordinary is that the spot of the laser will be very small, and the farther the interval is, the spot will also expand, but it is a very slender change, which cannot be seen by the naked eye, so it is usually said that the light source of the laser will not expand.

3. Application differences

Laser sensors are mainly used in object detection, positioning, positioning, counting, concave and convex, positive and negative functions, and are widely used in packaging, electronics and other industries. Photoelectric sensors are used in many fields such as crop level detection, liquid level control, product counting, width discrimination, speed detection, cut-to-length shearing, hole identification, signal delay, automatic door sensing, color mark detection, punching and shearing machines, and safety protection. In addition, the concealment of infrared rays can also be used as a burglar guard in banks, warehouses, shops, offices, and other places where needs are needed.
