Honeywell Aerospace entered into two agreements with local Chinese partners during the 4th China International Import Expo (CIIE) to further deepen cooperation. 1. Signed a letter of intent with Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd
Honeywell has signed a letter of intent with Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (SIAC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), to provide products and solutions in line with SAIC's 2022 C919 and ARJ21 aircraft production plans.
Since the establishment of COMAC in 2008, Honeywell has been collaborating with COMAC on the design and development of the C919, and the cooperation on the ARJ21 regional jet program dates back to the beginning of this century. Honeywell was selected to provide the auxiliary power system, flight control system, air data and inertial navigation system, wheel and brake system for the C919 aircraft, and the Aspire 400 cockpit satellite communications system and flight control system for the ARJ21 aircraft.
During the C919's multiple validation flights over the past few years, Honeywell's four advanced technology solutions for the aircraft have been running reliably. The optional Honeywell Aspire 400 cockpit satellite communication system for the ARJ21 aircraft has also recently obtained the Technical Standard Specification Certification (TSO-C159) from Transport and Transport Canada's Civil Aviation Agency (TCCA), which means that the ARJ21 is expected to be the first Aspire 400 aircraft to be deployed in the world, helping pilots and cabin crews achieve more reliable and necessary communications, while improving fleet management and maintenance.

2. Signed a memorandum of understanding with Tianjin Jingcheng Weiye Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd
Honeywell signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tianjin Jingcheng Weiye Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. Accordingly, the two companies will collaborate on the industrialization of Honeywell's Advanced Coatings (HAEP) to provide high-performance, efficient and environmentally friendly surface treatment solutions. The program primarily serves the oil and gas industry and other related sectors. This state-of-the-art process coating provides excellent wear and corrosion resistance and will help end customers avoid failures and downtime during oil and gas drilling, extend the life cycle of drilling components, and improve drilling efficiency and reduce total costs.

Honeywell's patented coating technology has been proven to keep critical components running in challenging environments such as the ground, the air and even space. Tianjin Jingcheng Weiye Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is an excellent surface engineering and new materials company integrating R&D, production and sales. Its wholly-owned subsidiary, Autumn Inc., located in Houston, Texas, United States, focuses on the research and development, design and global sales of industrial mandrel rods and new oil and gas drilling products.
The two companies will carry out a strategic cooperation on HAEP coatings, aiming to bring new value to the industry. HAEP is an advanced abrasion- and corrosion-resistant coating that protects vital components from wear and corrosion in harsh conditions. This new coating outperforms even most commonly used alternative processes and is an environmentally friendly solution. Compared with coating technologies such as supersonic flame spraying (HVOF-WC), tungsten carbide coating, and hard chrome (Cr), HAEP coating offers environmentally friendly coating solutions with high corrosion resistance and high wear resistance at a reasonable price.
