Ranking has been a member of the Sustainability Index for 20 consecutive years

ABB has once again been selected as a member of the FTSE4Good Index Series, marking the 20th consecutive year that ABB has been recognized for its sustainability performance. ABB tops the index with an overall score of 4.1 (0-5), leading its peers.

FTSE4Good is a global sustainable investment index series designed to identify companies that demonstrate strong environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices, as measured against international standards. The series is an important tool for various market participants when creating or evaluating sustainable investment products.

Roland Dubois, Head of Sustainability at ABB, said: "Being back on the index confirms that we are on the right track as we are developing a new set of ambitious long-term targets, which we will publish later this year. ”

Last year, ABB met or exceeded more than half of its sustainability goals ahead of schedule. ABB's eco-efficiency portfolio, which enables sustainable smart cities, industrial and transportation systems to mitigate climate change and conserve non-renewable resources, accounted for 57% of total revenue in 2019.
