Common faults of ACS500 inverter are damage to the drive film. The driving film includes drive circuit, short circuit detection, IGBT module detection, overcurrent detection, etc., and has good protection functions. The ACS500 high-power module is rarely damaged. During maintenance, the drive film is damaged. If there are no accessories, only the film can be repaired. The thin-film parts are welded to the ceramic sheet, which dissipates heat fairly quickly, and special care is taken not to heat the soldering iron for a long time and damage the parts. Limited by the use time, ACS500 cooling fan will also fail, the common phenomenon is that only the buzzing sound is heard after power-on, but the fan will not rotate, the fan coil and bearing of this axial fan are good in most cases, usually the deflection capacitor fails, and it can be restored to normal after replacement.
ABB AC Inverter Maintenance - ACS600 Fault.
The performance and quality of ACS600 inverter are relatively stable, but due to the influence of the surrounding environment, improper parameter setting and improper operation may damage the inverter. Of course, natural damage is also inevitable for every electrical product. Unlike other series of products, ACS600 inverter uses optical fiber communication, which greatly improves the communication time between the CPU board and the I/O board, but it may also cause the failure of "LINKORHWC" PPCLINK", which has a lot to do with fiber damage. PPCLINK "fault" is a common fault of ACS600 inverter, and damage to the CPU board and I/O board may fail. The ACS600 inverter will also damage the switching power supply, and the fault mainly occurs on the switch tube, and the short circuit of the switch tube will burn out the current limiting resistor. The ACS600 uses an intelligent module, and the module may be damaged by load failure and problems in use.

If the temperature is too high, it will cause the inverter to overheat the alarm, and in serious cases, it will directly damage the power components of the inverter, and the air that causes the circuit to be short-circuited will cause a direct short circuit inside the inverter.

Clean the air filter, cool air ducts, and internal dust. Check whether the screws, bolts, plug-ins, etc. are loose, and whether there is a short circuit in the resistance of the input and output reactors to ground and between phases, which should usually exceed tens of trillion euros. Whether the conductor and insulator are corrosive or not, they must be wiped with alcohol immediately. If conditions permit, use an oscilloscope to measure the stability of the voltage of each circuit of the switching power supply, such as 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V and other voltages. Whether there is any abnormality in the method of measuring the waveform of each channel of the driving circuit. Whether the waveform between the UVWs is a sine wave, whether there are ignition marks at the contact points of the contactor, and if it is damaged, it must be replaced with a new product of the same model or larger than the original capacity.
