ABB continues to expand its partnership, announcing a new joint venture with Huayu Automotive, a leading Chinese auto parts supplier, at the end of last year to promote the transformation and upgrading of smart manufacturing in China's automotive industry. This year, the ABB Robotics Gigafactory will be completed and put into operation in Shanghai, becoming the most advanced, flexible and automated factory in the global robotics industry, and will also become a research base for artificial intelligence technology, providing stronger support for powertrain, body-in-white, battery assembly, body painting and sealing in the electric vehicle production chain.
