eMine™ encompasses a range of electrification technologies that enable all-electric mines from mine to port, and integrates with digital applications and services to monitor and optimize energy use. It can power any mining equipment for lifting, grinding, hauling, and material handling. Starting in 2022, it will include the new ABB Ability™ eMine FastCharge, which provides high-power charging for haulage trucks and is currently in a pilot phase. It also features the ABB Ability™ eMine trolley system, which reduces diesel consumption by up to 90%, resulting in a significant reduction in energy costs and environmental impact.

Charging time will depend on the battery capacity and operation on the haul truck, but in many cases, a suitable state of charge can be reached in less than 15 minutes.
