1. Mitsubishi PLC's analog signal control inverter

Hardware: FX1N, FX2N PLC hosts, equipped with 1 simple FX1N-1DA-BD extended analog output board; or analog input-output hybrid module FX0N-3A; or FX2N-2DA with two outputs; or a four-output FX2N-4DA module, etc.

Advantages: PLC programming is simple and convenient, the speed control curve is smooth and continuous, and the work is stable.

Disadvantages: In the large-scale production line, the control cable is long, especially when the DA module selects the voltage signal output, the line has a large voltage drop, which affects the stability and reliability of the system. In addition, from an economic point of view, such as controlling 8 inverters, 2 Mitsubishi PLC-FX2N-4DA modules are required, and the cost is 5-7 times that of the selected extended memory communication control.

Second, the switching signal of Mitsubishi PLC controls Mitsubishi inverter

The output point and COM point of Mitsubishi PLC (MR type or MT type) are directly connected to the STF (forward actuator), RH (high speed), RM (medium speed), RL (low speed), and input SG ports of the inverter. Mitsubishi PLC can control the initiation, abort, and reset of the inverter through the program; It can also control the different combinations of high-speed, medium-speed and low-speed terminals of the inverter to complete multi-stage speed operation.

However, because it is controlled by switching quantities, the speed regulation curve is not a continuous smooth curve, and it cannot complete the fine speed conditioning. The speed regulation accuracy of this switching control method cannot be compared with that of the extended memory communication control.

3. The PLC uses the Modbus-RTU communication method of RS-485 to control the inverter

The new Mitsubishi F700 series inverter uses RS-485 terminals to communicate with the PLC using the Modbus-RTU protocol.

Advantages: PLC programming of the Modbus communication method is simpler and more convenient than the RS-485 protocol-free method.

Disadvantages: PLC programming workload is still very large.

Mitsubishi drives can be built with various types of communication options, such as the FR-A5NC option for CC-Link fieldbuses; FR-A***P(A) option for Profibus DP fieldbus; FR-A5ND option for DeviceNet fieldbus and much more.

FX series Mitsubishi PLC has a corresponding communication interface module to dock with it.

Advantages: fast speed, long distance, high efficiency, stable operation, simple programming, large number of inverters that can be connected.

Disadvantages: The cost is high, much higher than the cost of using extended memory communication control.

5. The PLC uses RS-485 protocol-free communication method to control Mitsubishi inverter

This is a widely used method, and the PLC uses RS serial communication command programming.

Advantages: The hardware is simple, the cost is low, and it can control 32 inverters. Mitsubishi PLC controls the inverter in several ways.
