Tokyo, June 9, 2021 – Mitsubishi announced the upcoming launch of its industrial T-series 2.0kV insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) module, the world's first IGBT1 with a 2.0kV withstand voltage, June 30. The module is ideally suited for increasing the power and downsizing of renewable power converters, which are increasingly in demand due to the increasing use of renewable electricity supplies. The module will be presented at the Power Electronics Conference (APEC) 2021 Virtual Expo on June 15-16.
Features:
1) The world's first IGBT with 2.0kV withstand voltage for more compact DC1500V power converters The world's first 2.0kV additional IGBT for DC1500V additional power converters, which is difficult to plan with conventional 1.7kV additional IGBTs. Enables the development of simpler, smaller, DC1500V additional power converters without the need for cluttered topologies such as three-level NPCs (Type I articulation).
2. Circuit topology consisting of four series IGBTs and two clamp diodes, two clamp diodes connected to the voltage neutral point in one branch
2) The 7th generation IGBT and RFC diodes help to reduce power losses in power converters and are suitable for high-voltage, low-power applications, such as the latest (7th generation) IGBT™ 3 structure with CSTBT and RFC (cathodic relaxation field) diode 4, which are optimized for high withstand voltages.
3. Mitsubishi Electric's unique IGBT that uses carrier accumulation effect
4. Mitsubishi Electric's primitive diode that optimizes electron mobility on the cathode side
Power semiconductors, which can effectively manipulate electricity, are attracting increasing use and demand as key devices that contribute to reducing the carbon footprint of the global society. Together, the demand for power grids using renewable energy is increased by deploying higher system operating voltages to accomplish higher and higher power conversion powers. For this purpose, a power converter with an additional voltage of DC1500V (upper limit 5 in the low-voltage direction) was developed. In response, Mitsubishi Electric will soon launch a 2.0kV IGBT T series for DC1500V power converters, which is expected to help simplify the planning and downsizing of such converters and increase their power.
5. General safety regulations that make electrical equipment acceptable to all other EU countries as agreed by any EU member state

The difference between a Mitsubishi servo motor and a stepper motor
First, the control accuracy is different
The step angle of the two-phase hybrid stepper motor is generally 1.8° and 0.9°, and the step angle of the five-phase hybrid stepper motor is generally 0.72° and 0.36°. There are also some high-performance stepper motors that have a smaller step angle after being subdivided. Communicate the control of servo motor ...
