01 USB connection
USB connection requires a device USB driver, generally after installing GX Works2 software, it will automatically install the driver, but a single time due to antivirus software or system reasons, may not be installed, then we need to manually drive the device to the accounting machine. We can find out the specific device method by ourselves.
The USB interfaces of different CPUs are also different, some are square USB, the scientific name is TYPE-B, and there is a trapezoidal USB port, the scientific name is Mini-B, which is a little smaller than the square port;
If you use USB connection, you can directly set it to USB connection, and you don't need to select the COM port like FX3U, just select USB directly.
02 The CPU comes with an Ethernet port connection
First of all, use the built-in Ethernet port of the CPU to connect, and select the three options of computer side - programmable controller side - other stations in turn;
Among them, the accounting side refers to the connection method of our computer, and the selection of Ethernet Board generally refers to the network card of the accounting machine;
On the programmable controller side, select PLC Module, which refers to the CPU component body.
Other selection, select No Specification, which refers to visiting this site, which is the CPU itself;
Then, double-click the PLC Module button again to enter the PLC side setting;
There are two situations here, one is that the computer is directly plugged into the network cable to the CPU, which does not need to set the IP address to be connected;
The other is through the hub, that is, the switch for connection, here you need to set the IP address, to be common with the IP of the built-in Ethernet port of the CPU, here you can search through the Ethernet built-in PLC on the search network, the IP address will be displayed;
Ethernet IP to PLC parameters;
03Communication via Ethernet module
Mitsubishi's Ethernet modules communicate with third-party Ethernet devices, and through switches, they can communicate with many devices, and of course with GX Works2.
First of all, set up the Ethernet module, here added three Ethernet modules, respectively for different communications, some are dedicated Ethernet modules, such as MES communication, and video communication, and some Ethernet modules are universal, mainly used to communicate with touch screen, computer debugging, the third network card here is used with touch screen and debugging communication, note that the network number is 1, the station number is 1;
Click Run Settings, set the IP of the Ethernet module, and click to end the setting;
Click to open the settings, here can add a variety of communication channels, if you want the computer to communicate through GX Works2, you want to add MELSOFT connection, a channel only promises one computer connection, if you want to promise multiple people to debug the connection together, then set up a few more channels;
After the parameters are saved, they are downloaded to the PLC through USB connection or built-in Ethernet module connection, and then the Ethernet connection method can be used.
QJ71E71 create a new connection method, double-click to enter
Click the connection method Ethernet Board on the computer side, and set the network number and station number, the network number is common to the Ethernet module, and the station number is not common to the Ethernet module.
On the PLC side, select the Ethernet Module, set the station number and IP address, and the station number here should be the same as the station number of the Ethernet module.
Click on the other two items to complete the setting;
Click on the communication test, and it has been connected to the PLC;
After setting the connection channel to tacit approval, GX Works2 will use this as the default connection method to communicate with the PLC in the future.

PLC circuit debugging precautions - Mitsubishi
1. For the switching input and output circuits, pay attention to the consistency criterion of maintaining the state; The positive logic criterion is usually used, that is, when the input and output are live, it is in the "ON" state and the data value is "1"; Conversely, when the input and output are powered off, it is in the "OFF" state and the data value is "0". Such...
