DENSO Robotics announces the launch of its new HSR four-axis SCARA robot, which features advanced oscillation control, a newly planned, highly rigid lightweight arm and improved heat dissipation at the base to operate continuously at the highest additional speed. Reach new levels of back-to-back high-speed performance and repeatability.
Peter Cavallo, Robot Sales Manager at DENSO Products & Services Americas, Inc., said, "Our new HSR robot represents the culmination of 50 years of experience developing industrial robotic arms to meet our manufacturing needs in the highly competitive passenger car segment. The peculiarity of high-speed rail is that it can run at *high speeds and adhere to *high repeatability without being disturbed, not just short bursts of time. This means more cycles per minute, which in turn means higher throughput. ”
Reduced axle whips and set-up moments, as well as lighter booms and an optimized boom structure, make the HSR more efficient than ever before, allowing it to accelerate faster, run in succession at *high extra speeds, and stop more.
The canonical cycle time of the high-speed rail robot (with a weight of 2 kg) is 0.28 to 0.31 seconds. Repeatability ranges from ±0.01 to ±0.12 mm. * Large useful load capacity of 8 kg, usable scales of 480, 550 and 650 mm.
DENSO's compact, space-saving planning facilitates integration, while the largest moment of inertia allows for a wide range of end actuators and applications. Wires and air ducts are built into the robot arm to avoid disturbing the peripherals. ANSI and CE compliance enables global deployment.
Applications include high-speed, high-precision pick-and-place in the assembly process as well as in packaging processes in the food, medical device, pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors.
DENSO is the world's largest manufacturer and user of small assembly robots, with more than 18,000 robots in use in its own factories. More than 77,000 DENSO robots are also used by other companies around the world.
Robots are used in traditional manufacturing, as well as advanced technology applications in medical, pharmaceutical, and life sciences occupations.

Wire diameter selection for DENSO robots
Select the right wire diameter for welding
The main consideration in selecting the diameter of the wire is the thickness of the material to be welded. If the selected wire is too small for the data, the welding process is underpowered, and time and production are wasted.

Welding Robot Welding Process Parameter Adjustment - Denso Robot
1. Number of joints. The number of joints can also be called degrees of freedom, which is an important goal for the flexibility of the robot. Generally speaking, the robot working space can reach three degrees of freedom, but welding not only needs to reach a certain direction in the space, but also needs to ensure the spatial posture of the welding gun.
