Therefore, the dynamic characteristics of the power converter (start-up characteristics, input voltage step characteristics, load step transient characteristics) are also important characteristics of the power converter. In addition, in order to meet the requirements of the space environment, the power converter needs to consider the space radiation resistance, reliability index and design life index, which are mainly related to the circuit topology, thermal design, component quality level and component parameter derating.

On the basis of the analysis task requirements, the selection of suitable circuit forms, especially the power stage circuit, should strive to be simple and reliable, give priority to the single-ended circuit topology, choose the mature circuit and standard circuit that have been tested by flight, and also have good fault isolation measures at the input end and the adaptability of the output to the load fault. The selection of circuits is closely related to the selection of components, especially some discrete components, such as power tubes, rectifier diodes, filter capacitors, etc., should be preferred to fly proven high-reliability products and derated.

In the electromagnetic compatibility design of the power converter, an EMI filter is added at the input end to reduce the influence of the input reflected ripple voltage on the spacecraft power supply system, and a filter circuit is added at the output end to reduce the impact of output ripple and noise on the electrical equipment, and the oscillation frequency of the pulse width modulator of the power converter should be selected after coordinating with the working frequency of the load equipment as far as possible. The wiring, isolation, and grounding inside the power converter should be designed based on the principle of electromagnetic compatibility of the electrical system.
