Torque sensor is the necessary device in some products, mainly used to measure the speed and point of view, but different types of sensors, the use of methods and effects are different, so what are the classifications of torque sensors?
Resistive strain gauge torque transducers
This type of sensor has a simple structure and is easy to make, but it uses conductive slip rings and has a low vibration frequency, which is not suitable for the use of rotating bodies and high-torque vibrations at high frequencies.
Photoelectric torque sensor
It consists of a torsion shaft and two grating discs. Both raster discs have the same number of radial black sections. When the torsion shaft is torqueed, the torsion angle is deformed, and the grating disc 1 and 2 are different from each other to form a light transmission port. The optoelectronic element has a wide pulse output, and the higher the torque, the larger the opening of the translucent port.
The width of the photocurrent pulse is also larger, and the average pulse current is proportional to the torque. This type of sensor is the wrong touch, but the light source must be adjusted.
Piezomagnetic torque sensor
Its torsion shaft is ferromagnetic. When torque is applied, directional stresses are generated in the shaft and magnetic anisotropy is generated, i.e., the magnetic resistance decreases under tensile stress and increases greatly under tightening stress.
The sensor has no slip rings, is a non-touch measurement, has high reliability, robustness, high output voltage, and is insensitive to temperature and interference.
Vibrating wire torque transducer
It uses a vibrating wire sensitive torsion angle to measure torque (see Vibrating Wire Sensor) and is characterized by a frequency signal transmission method and good anti-interference performance.
