Replacement of the Kawasaki robot contact tip

Create Date: 2024-8-30 12:03:23|Source: Kawasaki/Kawasaki

The contact tip is a kind of item with high replacement frequency of welding wearing parts, and the contact tip plays a role in the fixed position of the welding wire when it passes, because the current passing through the arc at the end of welding is too large, it is easy to melt the outlet of the contact tip, causing the welding wire and the contact tip to be fused together, and the welding can not work. The material and workmanship of the contact tip determine his life cycle. Most of the materials used in contact tips are brass, copper, chromium pickaxe copper and, rarely, beryllium copper.

Replacement of the Kawasaki robot contact tip

Among them, copper is one of the most used in manual welding, and the chromium pickaxe copper material is better than copper, which is more durable and commonly used in robot welding. In addition to the welding wire welding in one piece, the contact tip is not used, and there is also a kind of long-term time, the aperture is much larger than the welding wire, and the wire output position range cannot be well fixed. Manual welding can also be done a little, but because the robot is welded according to the edited program, the hole size will be large, and the welding deviation will occur, and the molding will not be straight, so once the contact tip aperture is too large, the contact tip must be replaced. Generally, it is recommended to replace the contact tip once after 48 hours of working for a small current below 150A, and replace the contact tip once in 12 hours for a large current of more than 180A.

Welding robots, like manual welding, also need to replace contact tips frequently, and because the robot works longer than the continuous welding time of workers, the frequency of replacing contact tips is higher.
