1. ABB Robotics strives to build a smart factory for Tianwei Food, providing a series of automation solutions such as intelligent feeding, intelligent packaging, intelligent warehousing, and intelligent traceability for its post-packaging process
2. Since it was put into operation, the single-line production capacity of the smart factory has increased by more than two times, the per capita efficiency has increased by more than 6 times, and the manufacturing cost of a single piece has decreased by nearly 40%
3. A high-quality, high-efficiency and high-safety industrial transformation and upgrading of the compound condiment industry led by automation and digital technology
How do you make a delicious, safe and hygienic dish in a short period of time for busy modern people? Convenient, quick, and flavorful seasoning compounds are a good helper.
With the acceleration of the pace of life and the improvement of living standards, in addition to the traditional salt, soy sauce, vinegar, monosodium glutamate and other single condiments, compound condiments have attracted more and more attention from users because of their simple operation, delicious and easy to use, and the industry has ushered in a round of rapid development. However, due to the low degree of production standardization in the industry as a whole, if you want to stand out in this track, how to upgrade the competition, explore new processes, improve new standards, and optimize new processes have become the key issues that production enterprises need to think about.
Tianwei Food, as a leading enterprise in China's compound condiment industry, has been committed to the research and development, production and sales of high-quality compound condiments for more than 20 years. In the Tianwei Food Smart Factory in Chengdu, ABB Robotics and Jin'an Machinery (JCN) provided a series of automation solutions for the post-packaging process of the smart factory, such as intelligent feeding, intelligent packaging, intelligent warehousing, and intelligent traceability, integrating a total of 65 IRB 360, 10 IRB 6700 and 3 IRB 660 robots, as well as machine vision auxiliary equipment, helping Tianwei Food become the first enterprise in the industry to apply 3D vision positioning to assist manipulator feeding.
Since the Tianwei Food Smart Factory was put into operation, the single-line production capacity has increased by more than two times, the per capita efficiency has increased by more than 6 times, and the manufacturing cost of a single piece has decreased by nearly 40%, achieving the goal of automated, digital and intelligent integrated management of the production process in many aspects.
Precise and high-speed - help enterprises improve efficiency
The traditional polyphony industry has the characteristics of "labor-intensive", with a low degree of automation of production lines, fierce market competition, and the production efficiency of the entire industry, including the leading enterprises, needs to be improved. There are many kinds of small material packages for Tianwei polyphonic products, and the previous sorting mode is highly dependent on manual labor, with low efficiency and high error rate. Especially in the application of feeding, due to the high intensity of the operation, the single work content, the quality and efficiency of the operation are generally low.
Tianwei is the first company in the industry to use a 3D visual positioning auxiliary manipulator for feeding, the IRB 6700 has a load capacity of up to 150kg to 300kg, good structural rigidity, long barrier-free operation time, and can significantly extend the operation time and improve the quality of the work by replacing labor.
The machine vision system can quickly obtain a large amount of image information, and automatically process it, accurately identify the position of the incoming basket, and guide the robotic arm to grasp and place. Even if the basket is not full of pallets, the robot can still successfully grasp and will not scratch the empty, which is suitable for scenarios where the stack shape is complex and changeable, and the box type is random. The combination of 3D vision algorithms is more flexible and faster, improving the overall operation efficiency, and formulating digital standards for automation control for the industry.
Highly flexible – unlock a wide range of application scenarios
In the whole post-packaging process, although ABB only provided three kinds of robots, it opened its brains and played different tricks to help each link after packaging. For example, the IRB 360 parallel robot and vision positioning technology can be used not only for the intricate sorting of small bales, but also for the automatic packing of large quantities of polybales at the end.
In the process of sorting and installing partitions for small bags, ABB used IRB 360 to guide the grasping and assembly of assembly bags through 2D and 3D vision, breaking the grasp and placement of disorderly incoming products. The IRB 360 offers sporty performance with short cycle times and can be finely packed in a compact footprint. The 3D vision system can locate and guide the robot to accurately grasp the target material, and even in the case of stacking bags, it can also grasp the products through ABB's self-developed vision algorithm, making the sorting of bags more efficient.
ABB's self-developed vision algorithm combined with Conveyor Line Tracking (VGT) technology enables the robot to quickly and effectively adapt to complex conveyor belts and maintain high speeds. It is used to read the position of the material and send it to the robot system in the process of arranging and arranging; In the automatic packing process, it can read the position of the material and send it to the robot system, and read the packaging QR code and send it to the database, so as to improve the refinement and digital support of packaging.
Transparent and reassuring - one thing, one code, full traceability
The continuous outbreak of food safety incidents has triggered a crisis of trust in many consumers in food brands. In order to make consumers feel at ease after buying Tianwei products, the smart factory not only ensures the hygiene and efficiency of the production process internally, but also intimately designs a visible quality assurance method for consumers.
Tianwei is committed to forming a healthier and more trustworthy business relationship with consumers. Through the combination of object codes, the informatization of the process can realize the monitoring and traceability of the whole process of product production to ensure food safety. Consumers can also scan the QR code to check the whole life cycle of the product when they receive the product, and enjoy the food with peace of mind.
Under the wave of digitalization, Tianwei Food's smart factory has allowed us to witness a high-quality, high-efficiency and high-safety industrial transformation and upgrading of the compound condiment industry, and I believe that Tianwei's story can make consumers have more confidence in the deliciousness and safety of the food industry. ABB looks forward to extending its leading automation and digital technology to more food manufacturing and processing companies, so that intelligent manufacturing can continue to promote the healthy development of China's food industry."
