Welding robots are divided into arc welding robots and spot welding robots. Arc welding robots can be used for all arc welding, cutting techniques, and similar industrial methods. The commonly used range is self-consumable electrode active gas shielded welding (CO2 welding, MAG welding) of structural steel and chromium-nickel steel, metal inert gas shielded welding (MIC welding) of aluminum and special alloys, inert gas shielded welding of chromium-nickel steel and aluminum, and submerged arc welding. A complete arc welding robot system should include a robot manipulator, a control system, a welding device and a weldment clamping device. There are two sets of turntables on the clamping device, which can be entered into the working range of the robot in turn.

The OTC arc welding robot has five optional arc welding sensor accessories, namely FD-WD, FD-AR, FD-QD, FD-QF and FD-QT. The various sensor equipment dedicated to arc welding are introduced as follows:

  1.FD-WD.

The FD-WD sensor is one of the cheapest positioning sensors equipped with OTC. The FD-WD sensor has a built-in controller, so the user does not need to connect the sensor unit.

In addition, the FD-WD sensor achieves a high-speed search effect of up to 360 cm/min, which can be applied to all workpieces above medium and heavy plates. For hard-to-energize surfaces, such as rust and black skin (oxide film), prepare an additional high-voltage sensor unit (option).

2. Roosevelt.

The FD-AR sensor can be regarded as a very cost-effective sensor in terms of tracking sensor products, and can be applied to the processing of workpieces above medium and heavy plates. FD-AR sensors can correct bent workpieces and thermal deformations, which cannot be corrected by workpiece position detection alone, without the need for additional equipment around the weld, so it has the advantage of avoiding workpiece interference and maintenance.

  3.FD-QD.

FD-QD laser positioning sensors have the advantages of faster speed and higher accuracy than contact positioning sensors, and can identify various welded joints with simple operation. FD-QD window can be used for thin plate workpiece processing, with a wide range of applications and high precision. In addition, the identification results can be visually confirmed by the teaching pendant, and the welding conditions can be automatically changed according to the test results.

FD-QD laser positioning sensors can be used not only in the field of welding, but also in other fields.

4. Food and Drug Administration.

The FD-QF sensor can detect welds with the industry's highest inspection time (0.3 seconds) and inspection accuracy (0.2 mm), and can be easily and quickly taught with special commands.

In addition, the FD-QF uses a two-dimensional sensor head equipped with a blue laser, so that workpieces made of aluminum and stainless steel, which have a strong gloss surface, can be stably inspected. In addition, when using the FD-QF sensor, the detection conditions can be easily set from the teaching pendant and the inspection status can be checked by using a clear and easy-to-understand screen display.

  5.FD-QT.

FD-QT sensor is a sensor system independently developed by OTC for arc welding, which has good environmental resistance, strong reliability, and can be quickly repaired in case of failure. The FD-QT sensor can effectively improve productivity and welding quality, detect the amount of welding position and clearance changed during the welding process, and automatically adjust the welding position/angle and welding conditions.

The teaching of the FD-QT sensor is very convenient, just use the teaching box, no computer operation. At the same time, the FD-QT sensor requires a short teach-in time, can automatically detect the start and end points of welding, and can achieve different welding lengths with one program.
