1. Application of photoelectric sensor in high-voltage and high-current testing

In recent years, the use of optical equipment for high-voltage and high-current measurement has developed rapidly in the power system, and many new photoelectric sensor systems have been put into on-site operation, bringing many convenient conditions for high-voltage and high-current monitoring. OCT has a fast response speed and high measurement accuracy. OCT is different from CT (traditional current transformer) in the basis of small signal power, OCT products are modulated with light in the process of converting the measured current from high potential to low potential, and its optical instrument part only has microwatt power, while the secondary coil of CT needs watt power.

2. Application of photoelectric sensor in rotational speed measurement system

In today's rapid development of mechanical automation, speed is an important characteristic parameter in the performance test of power machinery, and its size and change are related to whether the mechanical operation is normal. Many characteristic parameters of power machinery are often determined by rotational speed, such as the output power of the motor, and the vibration of the power machinery, the fluctuation of the pipeline airflow and the wear state of various working parts are also closely related to the rotational speed. Timely monitoring of the change in speed can eliminate many faults in the operation of the machine in time to avoid greater losses. The rotational speed measurement method is classified according to the way the sensor is installed, and is divided into two categories: contact and non-contact. Non-contact rotational speed measurement, disc magnetic measurement, shaft magnetic measurement, blocking photoelectric measurement and reflective photoelectric measurement. Among them, the most widely used is the photoelectric speed measurement system.

3. The application of photoelectric sensors in relay protection

With the development of the power industry, the transmission capacity and voltage level of the power system continue to increase, and there are many shortcomings in the traditional transformer to measure and monitor the power grid. At present, the integrated automation system of optical fiber power substation composed of optical fiber transformer and optical fiber communication network using photoelectric sensors has become one of the most promising development directions of power automation technology. Power transformer is an important power measurement equipment in the power system, and it is also a key equipment to realize power automation. The new active photoelectric sensor can overcome the defects of the traditional power transformer, such as large size, large quality, poor anti-interference, and small information transmission capacity, so that the safe operation of the power system and the level of automation can not meet the requirements, and at the same time, it can output a large number of secondary cables with digital signals, which provides a solid foundation for the safe operation of the power system, cost saving, oil-free high-voltage equipment, and optimization of secondary equipment.

4. The application of photoelectric sensors in smoke and dust turbidity monitoring

Preventing soot pollution is one of the important tasks of environmental protection, in order to eliminate industrial soot pollution, we must first know the amount of soot emissions, so it is necessary to monitor, automatically display and alarm the source of soot and dust. If the turbidity of the flue increases, the light emitted by the light source is increased by the absorption and refraction of the smoke particles, and the light reaching the light detector decreases, so the strength of the output signal of the light detector can reflect the change of the turbidity of the flue.
