Magnetostrictive technology and magnetostrictive encoders are increasingly used in linear motion measurement in various industrial equipment due to their wear-free, maintenance-free, and reliable absolute position detection.

  1. Design structure and working principle

As shown in the figure below, the DAX offers a variety of form factors, which are not only suitable for the positioning of the piston rod in hydraulic cylinders (first from the right), but also for external linear position measurement in various industrial equipment (first from the left and second from the left). A wide range of positioning magnet options are also available.
