The color and number of SICK sensor wires are conveniently different. Some are six-wire sensors. However, the two sense lines are also connected to the sensor's book input signals E+ and E-, and we can ignore these two feedback lines or combine them into one. The color of each cable indicates what the wire does, and these are indicated on the label of the SICK sensor, the heat shrink sleeve, and the instruction manual.

1. In the four-wire sensor, the two wires with the largest resistance are the excitation terminal (input terminal), and the other two wires are the signal output terminal.

2. After determining the excitation line and the signal line, the resistance of any excitation line to the signal line is equal.

3. If the resistance difference between any excitation line and the two signal lines is greater than 2Ω, the sensor will not be used again, and it will be judged to be damaged.

(Exceptions to special cases where it is greater than 1Ω can sometimes be adjusted by adjusting the zero point compensation.) Sensors that are chemically corroded, electrocuted, struck, or mechanically damaged will not meet the above characteristics.

The wire material of the SICK sensor: The wire is still a part of the load cell, and the metal material of the load cell wire is due to the use of wires in household appliances. After all, the wire is the bridge power supply, signal output, long-term excitation voltage compensation channel, silver-plated wire must be better than copper wire conduction effect, copper wire must be better than aluminum wire conduction effect, its role is self-evident. With more and more interference from various high frequencies and radio waves, the excellent shielding of load cells is also an important way to protect signal stability. In addition, environmental erosion, insect infestation, fire retardant and other materials that also need the sensor protective layer of anti-corrosion, insect-proof, fireproof and explosion-proof, even need to use armor protection, load cell casing protection and other methods.

Material of SICK sensor sealant: In the initial stage of load cells with insufficient welding technology and equipment, the silicone rubber sealant series is used. Silicone rubber has long-term chemical stability, so it has excellent anti-corrosion, moisture-proof, anti-aging, edge and other advantages, and has long been the product of all sealants. Fourth, wire sealing materials and methods:

Every component of a SICK sensor influences the final technology of the sensor, some load cells are simply fixed to avoid the movement of the sensor wires and damage to the sensor's electronic circuitry, and some load cells with short conduction distances are even fixed by plastic seals. However, if the SICK sensor with large volume and weight does not have a proper wire fixation or sealing, it is a bottleneck that the load cell is prone to failure.

In particular, when a SICK sensor is equipped with a sealing head to fix the wire, the material and tightening strength of the fastener also have an impact on the final technology of the load cell. Observers have found that there are very few fasteners that use sealing adhesives, so as to avoid the residual stress caused by relying on the fastening force to fix, and there is no leakage due to insufficient fastening force. 5. Strain gauge and resistance element materials:

The composition of the resistance strain gauge of SICK sensor is complex, it is a composite manufacturing product, and the combination of the base material of the strain gauge and the strain copper is ever-changing, and according to its strain requirements, there are about 1,000 kinds of products at present. In general, the base material is made of polymer thin film material, and the strain material is high-purity constantan. Constantan on the substrate is optically treated and etched resistance grids with different inductive deformations. Therefore, the resistance strain gauge is not only related to the substrate material and the metal purity of the composite, but also related to the composite process, etching technology and process, etching chemical materials and post-treatment processes and materials.
