The transfer robot is a manipulator in practical work, and the manipulator is developed because its positive role is increasingly known:

First, it can partially replace manual operation;

Second, it can complete the transmission and loading and unloading of the workpiece in accordance with the requirements of the production process and follow the certain procedures, time and orientation;

Third, it can operate the necessary machinery and tools for welding and installation, thus greatly improving the working conditions of workers, significantly improving the labor productivity, and speeding up the pace of mechanization and automation of industrial production.

                               Handling robot classification - KUKA robots

The advantage of the transfer robot is that it can be programmed to complete various intended missions, and has the advantages of both humans and machines in its own structure and function, especially reflecting artificial intelligence and adaptability. At present, the classification of transfer robots mainly includes the following:

1. Multi-joint robots

The multi-joint robot has flexible action, small movement inertia, strong versatility, can grasp the workpiece close to the machine base, and can work around the obstacles between the machine body and the working machine.

2. T-type booster robot

The T-type booster robot is completed by the guide rail, which is more suitable for occasions with narrow operating space. Equipped with an air tank, it can continue to be used for a cycle in the case of air failure, and when the air pressure drops to a certain extent, the self-locking function is activated to prevent the workpiece from descending. And there is a safety system, the operator cannot release the workpiece during the transfer process or when the workpiece is not placed on the safety surface.

3. Hard-arm power-assisted robot

In the case of torque, the hard-arm booster robot cannot use a pneumatic counterbalance crane or a soft-rope assist-assisted robot, and a hard-arm booster robot must be selected. It is possible to complete workpieces with a maximum height of 500 kg, a radius of up to 3000 mm, and a height increase of up to 2500 mm.

At present, there are more than 100,000 transfer robots in use in the world, which are widely used in machine tool loading and unloading, automatic production lines of stamping machines, automatic installation lines, palletizing transfers, automatic transfer of containers, etc. Some developed countries have formulated the maximum limit of manual transfer, and those exceeding the limit must be completed by transfer robots.
