The important condition of welding forming is to set the welding parameters: basic parameters such as current, voltage, time, and special functional parameters such as restart, arc detection, preparatory air supply, and water cooling abnormality, etc. The selection of welding parameters is more difficult, because the various welding parameters are not isolated, but affect each other. Welding parameters need to be determined by a large number of repeated tests, and the following is an introduction to the determination of several commonly used parameters:

Current, voltage, and time parameters have the most direct impact on the effectiveness of welding. In general, the voltage affects the weld pool width of the weld, and the current affects the weld pool depth. In terms of regulation, it can generally be followed: the larger the voltage, the wider the width of the melt pool; The law that the higher the current, the deeper the melt pool depth and vice versa. The specific parameter value of current and voltage depends on the actual analysis, and the welding experience is very important. The Flama welder solves this important challenge: the welding experience and test values are built into the expert pool of the welder's power supply. When you use unitary, pulse welding, you can easily adjust these parameters. You can also fine-tune this to get the welding result you want.

Generally speaking, advance and lag gas supply are not necessary parameters for welding, and the advance gas supply time is generally shorter, which is about 0.2S, which will affect the rhythm of welding after setting and make the arc start time longer. The hysteresis air supply is generally set at about 1S to protect the melt pool that has not yet cooled, and the specific parameter settings should be determined according to the welding requirements of the site.

The current and voltage of arc starting and closing are not necessary in the welding of carbon steel. The arc parameters of these two stages are critical for aluminum welding. We won't go into too much detail here.

The arc start confirmation time is a parameter on the teach pendant side of the robot. This parameter is used to detect the returned arc signal within the set time, if there is no arc after the time, the system will alarm, the robot stops, and the welding arc fails. Generally speaking, the larger the time setting of this parameter, the easier it is to start the arc, but because this parameter is set too large, the welding wire will be stretched out too long when the arc starting signal does not come, resulting in other accidents, it is generally recommended to set 1--5S.

Slow wire feed speed SFT refers to the wire feed speed during the elongation of the wire to the surface of the base metal after the start of arc starting, and this parameter needs to be set on the welder side to take effect. The slow wire feeding speed and the length of the welding wire from the base metal at the beginning of the arc start directly affect the speed of the arc starting time, so this parameter can be set larger. Please note that the SFT parameter of the Flama welder refers to the slow wire feed speed, which can be set accordingly in combination with the recommended values in the manual.

The burn-back time means that the wire will continue to burn for a period of time at the end of the weld after the weld is finished to control the dry elongation. Backburn is necessary in welding, which is helpful for the next arc starting.
