Temperature sensor
1. The sensor should be firmly grounded, and the wire side of the sensor should not be short-circuited.
2. The thermistor of the moving magnet water thermometer sensor will increase with the temperature and the resistance value will decrease.
Fuel level sensor
1. The movement of the float in the fuel tank should be sensitive, otherwise it will be forbidden due to the drying of the float and the partition of the fuel tank.
2. The oil level sensor should be firmly grounded.
3. The resistance of the variable resistance sensor of the moving magnet fuel gauge will increase with the increase of the fuel level inside the tank.
Rotational speed sensor
1. Make sure that the gap between the bottom of the sensor and the top of the engine tooth is 0.8 to 1.0mm, otherwise the indication will be inaccurate. The correct way to install the sensor is to first screw the sensor to the end, that is, the bottom of the sensor touches the top of the engine teeth, then rotate two-thirds of a turn counterclockwise, and then tighten it with a back nut.
2. When idling, the output speed sensor outputs an induced voltage of 1.0V, Urms>.
Pressure sensors
1. The variable resistance value of the dynamic magnetic pressure gauge increases with the increase of pressure.
2. When installing a pressure sensor, do not screw the shell directly.
3. If the sensor has an alarm, then the sensor line and the alarm line cannot be reversed.

Correct use of the high-temperature pressure sensor method – ifm
1. It is necessary for the sensor to be properly installed
Damage to high-temperature pressure sensors is usually caused by their installation in improperly machined holes. When the sensor is loaded into a hole that is too small or eccentric, the sensor diaphragm may be damaged, which can then cause the instrument to not function properly.

How ifm inductive sensors work
How an inductive sensor works: An inductive sensor consists of three parts: an oscillator, a switching circuit, and an amplified output circuit. The oscillator produces an alternating magnetic field. When a metal target approaches this magnetic field and reaches the sensing distance, eddy currents are generated within the metal target, resulting in ...

ifm pressure sensors are prone to problems
The first is pressure, and the transmitter cannot afford to lose it. In this case, check if the pressure connector is leaking or clogged, if not, check the wiring method and see if the power supply is normal, simple pressure to confirm if the output has been changed, or if there is an output at the zero point of the sensor ...

Structure and application of resistive sensors - ifm
Structure of a resistive sensor
The structure of a resistive sensor consists of two basic parts: a resistive element and a brush (movable contact). The motion of the brushes in relation to the resistive elements can be linear, rotational and spiral, thus converting the linear or angular displacement into the necessary ...

Selection and testing of ifm proximity switches
1. Proximity switch selection
Different types of proximity switches should be selected for different raw material detectors and different detection intervals to have a high-performance price ratio in the system, for which the following principles should be followed in the selection:
1. When the detector body is metal material, the high-frequency oscillation type should be selected.

Photoelectric sensor classification – ifm sensors
(1) Fork photoelectric sensor
Placing a light emitter and a sticker face to face on either side of a slot is a fork photonics. The luminaire can announce infrared or visible light, and the luminaire can receive light in an unobstructed environment. But when the object to be detected passes through the slot, the light is blocked ...

Method for measuring torque using angle sensors – ifm
It is difficult to measure torque on a rolling shaft, and there are several ways to do it. The most common method is to derive the torque from the energy required by the rolling shaft. In general, this means measuring the current of the motor that drives the rolling shaft. This is sketchy but inaccurate, as ...
