In September 2015, Yamaha Motor began selling the RDV-X and RDV-P, pulse-width modulated robot drives that shorten the positioning time. These two new products are the successors to the current RDX and RDP, the RDV-X supports the FLIP-X series of servo-motor single-axis robots, and the RDV-P supports the PHASER series of linear motor single-axis robots.
The response frequency of the new model is about 1 times higher than that of the previous model, which shortens the positioning time of the single-axis robot. When the servo motor is 400 W, the ball screw lead is 20 mm, and the carrying weight is 40 kg, the positioning time can be shortened by about 40%.
In addition, the width of the drive body has been reduced by up to 38% compared to the previous model. In addition, with improved heat dissipation, multiple drives can be set up without gaps. When the RDV-X220 is installed with four connected motors with a capacity of 200 V and 600 W or less, the width of the setting in the console can be reduced by approximately 45%.
The parameters are set in the same way as in the previous model, and the mounting hole distance is the same. It is compatible with previous models and can be easily replaced.

The reason for the lack of precision of the robot - Yamaha
Many industrial applications require accurate robots for critical tasks, such as aerospace fabrication and metrology viewing. However, industrial robots generally do not provide high accuracy. The bot's inaccuracies are attributed to several sources of fault. These sources of fault fall into three broad categories: automatic joint faults, kinematic faults, etc.
