Most of the fieldbus communication failures of KUKA robots are divided into the following five situations.

Causes of failure: Failure of data cables, peripherals, damage to the diagnostic interface on the fieldbus card.

Fault 2: Fault Information "Input/Output Driver xxxxx Equipment Failure.

Causes of failure: Fieldbus card misequipped, Unable to initialize fieldbus card, File IOSYS. INI is equipped incorrectly.

Troubleshooting solutions: view equipment, replace fieldbus cards, view IOSYS. INI.

Fault 3: After inserting the fieldbus card, no information is displayed and the control system cannot be started (Stop0).

Cause of failure: Fieldbus card is damaged.

Fault repair method: replace the fieldbus card.

Fault 4: After initializing the fieldbus card, the control system remains in the "blocked" state.

Cause of failure: Fieldbus card is damaged.

Fault repair method: replace the fieldbus card.

Fault 5: When the control system is closed, the slave equipment has no external power supply.

Cause of failure: The input on the IBS (Contact Bus) card for external power supply is damaged.

Fault repair method: replace the contact bus card.

Special attention: At least 2 repair personnel are required to be present at the KUKA robot repair site to prevent accidents. Non-professionals are not allowed to carry out repair work.
