Recently, ABB joined more than 50 leading European companies in industry and skills to reaffirm a pan-European commitment to diversity and inclusion in the context of the #EmbraceDifference proposal. The European Industry Roundtable (ERT), with CEO Rosengren as a member, is spearheading the invention of the right environment that fosters inclusion and diversity in the workplace.
This summer, ABB signed the Standards of Business Conduct to Address Discrimination against Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex Persons (ISH) proposed by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. Standards of Conduct provide for five specific processes that companies can adopt to align their policies and practices with world standards for LGBTI human rights. ABB expects its suppliers to adhere to these standards so that it can have a real impact in the more than 100 countries in which it operates.
In addition, it signed a partnership agreement with Stonewall, Europe's largest LGBT rights organization, to help develop an LGBTQ+ roadmap for employees.
