3. Use the correct welding wire to weld the workpiece. Stainless steel welding wire welding stainless steel, aluminum welding wire welding aluminum, steel welding wire jointing.
4. Use the right shielding gas. Carbon dioxide is ideal for welding steel, but it can be too hot to weld thin sheets, so a mixture of 75% argon and 25% carbon dioxide should be used to weld thinner materials. Argon can only be used to weld aluminum. When welding steel, you can also use a mixture of 3 gases (helium + argon + carbon dioxide).
5. In order to achieve the effect of controlling the weld bead, the welding wire should be directly aligned with the bonding margin of the weld pool.
6. When the welding operation is in an abnormal position (vertical welding, horizontal welding, vertical welding), a small weld pool should be insisted on to achieve optimal control of the weld bead, and the diameter of the wire should be used as small as possible.
7. Make sure that the size of the welding wire you use matches the sleeve nozzle, liner and drive roller.
8. Arrange the torch liner and drive rollers frequently to keep the torch muzzle free of spatter. If the nozzle is blocked or the wire feed is not smooth, replace it.
9. Try to keep the welding torch vertical when welding to prevent wire feeding problems.
10. Use both hands together to ensure the stability of the welding torch during welding operations, and do so as much as possible. (The same applies to electrode welding, TIG welding, and plasma cutting)
11. Adjust the tightness of the wire spool and drive roller of the wire feeder to just meet the wire feeding, not too tight.
12. When the welding wire is not in use, keep it in a clean and dry place to prevent contamination and affect the welding effect.
13. Use DC reverse polarity DCEP power supply.
14. The dragging (pulling) torch technique can obtain deep penetration and narrow welds. The push-gun technique allows for shallower penetration and wider welds.
