The project uses Delta's high-performance programmable controller (PLC) for main control, with a human-machine interface for system setting, and precise control of servo drives and inverters to drive and control the winding and unwinding motors to complete outstanding winding operations and tension control. In the meantime, Delta has used a number of high-efficiency and compact vector control inverters MH300 series, which not only have a small size and do not take up space (about 40% smaller than the previous generation), but also have a faster output frequency, which can reach up to 2000 Hz in the open-loop loop, which can meet the needs of the layer winding machine for fast and smooth winding of wires. In addition, its built-in Safety Shutdown (STO) function ensures the safety of equipment and personnel in the event of a momentary power failure.

Through the variable voltage mode (VF) of the high-efficiency inverter, there is no need for cluttered PLC control programs, and smooth tension control can be completed, so that the equipment can operate stably and efficiently under various working conditions, and meet the needs of a variety of winding equipment.

By sharing the DC bus between the unwinding inverter and the rewinding inverter, the regenerative energy generated by the braking of the unwinding inverter can be fed back to the use of the rewinding inverter, without the use of braking resistors, which can simplify the system for customers, save equipment construction and reduce costs.
