　　It is reported that the newly opened environmental protection store adopts Panasonic's low GWP (global warming coefficient) R448A/R449A refrigerant outdoor unit and double-layer air curtain refrigerated cabinet, and also introduces new equipment and new technologies such as high-efficiency LED lighting, new self-service microwave ovens, and energy-saving execution support systems to achieve the goal of energy conservation and emission reduction. Among them, the GWP of R448A/R449A refrigerant is 1/3 of that of traditional refrigerants, and the emission reduction effect is remarkable; The double-layer air curtain refrigerator can prevent cold air leakage in the air curtain cabinet and enhance thermal insulation, thereby improving refrigeration efficiency and reducing energy consumption.

Electricity consumption can be reduced by using high-efficiency LED lighting in the store and a new self-service microwave oven that automatically heats up the product by reading the barcode of the product. The energy-saving execution support system can use Panasonic's IOT technology to manage store equipment in a unified manner. In addition to intelligent control of lighting according to weather conditions, the system can intelligently link all cold and heat-related machines in the store; In addition, by monitoring the status of equipment and power usage, we can monitor the status of equipment and power usage, issue energy-saving analysis, automatic maintenance notifications, and propose corresponding countermeasures based on energy-saving diagnostics to reduce power consumption by adjusting in-store equipment. It is estimated that the store is expected to reduce electricity consumption by about 20% compared to the standard store in 2015, which will ensure the achievement of energy conservation and emission reduction goals.

In addition, the store is equipped with a commercial air conditioner equipped with Panasonic's unique cleaning technology, Nano, ™ and a sub-ano space sterilization and deodorizer, which can eliminate the smell of food in the store, remove bacteria, and provide customers with a fresh and clean air environment to meet the new needs of the post-epidemic era.

According to reports, taking the opening of the store as an opportunity, Panasonic and Lawson will continue to cooperate to carry out new business of equipment refurbishment and leasing in China. Lawson said that since the lease term of the store in China is five years shorter than that in Japan, the cold chain equipment in the store will need to be abandoned when the store is relocated. With this new business, Panasonic will provide recycling and repair services for cold-chain equipment used in Lawson stores, and will re-lease these equipment to other stores in the future. This not only effectively reduces costs compared to purchasing new equipment, but also reduces the cost of opening or relocating new stores, and reduces unnecessary waste of resources. Panasonic and Lawson will continue to work on the development of new models of energy conservation and emission reduction, starting with this eco-friendly store, and contribute to the realization of a low-carbon society.

Lawson entered China in 1996 and now has 3,428 stores in China (as of the end of March 2021), mainly in the form of regional licensing and large franchises, with the goal of expanding to 4,000 stores in 2021 and 10,000 stores by 2025.
