According to the 2017 IMO meeting, the global 0.5% sulfur limit will be officially implemented from January 1, 2020, so the continuous emission monitoring technology of ship exhaust gas has become a hot issue at present.
The MARSIC series of marine exhaust gas monitoring systems from SICK is an innovative solution for reliable emission measurement in accordance with MARPOL Annex VI and MEPC.259(68). MARSIC is certified by DNV GL, ABS, NK, BV, LR, CCS, KR classification societies. MARSIC measures SO2 and CO2 not only after scrubbers (desulfurization units), but also before and after SCR in denitrification units, and can measure NO and NO2 separately.
