Introduction: The speed of an incremental encoder is calculated by the number of pulses measured per unit of time. To measure angles and positions, it is common to start counting from a starting reference point. The dual-channel output encoder has two signals with a 90-degree phase difference, which allows the controller to determine the direction of rotation and realize the position measurement function in both directions. In addition, the three-channel incremental encoder has a third signal channel (i.e. the "0" channel, or reference channel) with only one pulse output per revolution.
