Fatal failure of LS power terminal block

If the insulating part should not be conducted, it is necessary to insulate it firmly. There are three common fatal problems in terminal blocks:

1. Poor touch

The metal conductor inside the terminal block is the core part of the terminal, which transmits the voltage, current or signal from the external wire or cable to the touch piece corresponding to the connector it matches. Therefore, it is necessary for the touch part to have excellent structure, stable and reliable touch retention force and good electrical conductivity. Because the structural planning of the touch parts is unreasonable, the data selection is wrong, the mold is unstable, the processing scale is out of tolerance, the appearance is rough, the appearance treatment process such as heat treatment and electroplating is unreasonable, the assembly is improper, the storage and application environment is poor and the operation is improper, which will constitute poor touch in the touch part and cooperation part of the touch part.

2. Poor insulation

The function of the insulator is to keep the touch piece in the correct position, and to insulate the touch piece from the touch piece, and between the touch piece and the shell. Therefore, it is necessary for insulators to have excellent electrical properties, mechanical properties and process molding properties. In particular, with the widespread use of high-density and miniaturized terminal blocks, the useful wall thickness of insulators is getting thinner and thinner. This puts forward more stringent requirements for insulation materials, injection mold accuracy and molding process. Because there are metal surpluses on the surface or inside of the insulator, pollution and moisture on the surface of dust, flux, etc., organic data precipitates and harmful gas adsorption film and surface water film blend to form an ionic conductive channel, moisture absorption, mildew, aging of insulation materials, etc., will constitute short circuit, leakage, breakdown, low insulation resistance and other poor insulation phenomena.

3. Poor fixation

The insulator not only plays the role of insulation, but also usually provides the best alignment and protection for the outstretched touch parts, and also has the function of installation and positioning, locking and fixing on the equipment. Poor fixation, light affect the touch firmly constitute an instantaneous power failure, and the severe thing is the disintegration of the product. Dismantling refers to the abnormal separation between the plug and the socket, between the pin and the jack due to the unreliable structure of the terminal in the mating state, due to data, planning, process and other reasons, which will constitute the severe consequence of the interruption of power transmission and signal control of the control system. Because the planning is not reliable, the material selection is wrong, the molding process is not properly selected, the heat treatment, mold, assembly, welding and other processes are of poor quality, and the assembly is not in place.

In addition, the appearance is poor because of the coating peeling, corrosion, bruising, plastic shell flash, cracking, rough processing of touch parts, deformation, etc., because the positioning and locking cooperation scale is out of tolerance, the processing quality consistency is poor, and the total separation force is too large. These kinds of problems can generally be found and removed in time during the inspection and application process.
