Traditional fans and pumps use baffles and valves to regulate the flow, so the motor speed is basically the same, and the power consumption does not change much. According to statistics, the electricity consumption of fans and pump motors accounts for 31% of the country's electricity consumption and 50% of industrial electricity consumption. It is of great significance to use frequency conversion speed control equipment on this type of load. Now the successful applications include constant pressure water supply, various fans, central air conditioning, hydraulic pump frequency conversion speed regulation, etc.
2. Complete the soft start of the motor.
Direct start of the motor not only has a severe impact on the power grid, but also requires too high a grid capacity. The high currents and vibrations that occur during start-up can cause great damage to the baffle and valves, and are extremely unpleasant to the service life of the equipment and pipelines. However, after the use of VFD, the soft start function of VFD will change the starting current from zero, and the maximum value will not exceed the rated current, and then reduce the impact on the power grid and the demand for power supply capacity, extend the service life of equipment and valves, and save equipment maintenance costs.
3. Participate in the automation system.
Because VFD has a built-in 32-bit or 16-bit microprocessor, with a variety of arithmetic logic operations and intelligent control functions, the output frequency accuracy is 0.1%-0.01%, and is equipped with perfect detection and maintenance links, so it is widely used in the automation system. For example: winding, stretching, metering, and guidewire in the chemical fiber industry; Flat glass annealing furnace, glass melting furnace mixing, edge pulling machine, bottle making machine in the glass industry; Electric arc furnace active feeding batching system and elevator intelligent control, etc. VFD is used to improve the process level and product quality in CNC machine control, automotive production lines, paper and elevators.
4. Improve the process level and product quality.
Today's inverter manufacturers are vigorously developing technologies that can be used in a wide range of mechanical equipment control fields such as transportation, lifting, extrusion, and machine tools. It can improve the process level and product quality, reduce the impact and noise of the equipment, and extend the service life of the equipment. After the selection of frequency conversion speed control, the mechanical system is simplified, the operation and control are more convenient, and some can even change the original process specifications, and then improve the function of the whole equipment. For example, in textile and stenter machines used in many industries, the temperature inside the machine is regulated by varying the supply of hot air. Circulating fans are generally used to transport hot air. Because the speed of the fan is constant, the amount of hot air transported can only be regulated by the damper. If the damper conditioning fails or is improper, the setting machine will get out of control, which will then affect the quality of the finished product. When the circulating fan is started at high speed, the wear between the transmission belt and the bearing is severe, which makes the transmission belt a consumable. After the frequency conversion speed regulation is selected, the temperature adjustment is completed through the VFD active regulation of the fan speed, which solves the product quality problem. In addition, the VFD can easily start the fan at low frequency and low speed, reduce the wear between the transmission belt and the bearing, extend the service life of the equipment, and save energy by 40%.
