LS touchers are divided into AC touchers (voltage AC) and DC touchers (voltage DC), which are used in electricity, power distribution and consumption. Toucher broadly refers to the electrical appliances that use the current flowing through the coil to generate a magnetic field in industrial electricity, so that the contacts are closed, so as to control the load.

The AC touch device uses the main contact to open and close the circuit, and the auxiliary contact is used to turn on the control loop. The main contact is generally a normally open contact, and the auxiliary contact often has two pairs of normally open contact and normally closed contact, and the small LS toucher is also often used as an intermediate relay with the main circuit. The contacts of the AC toucher, made of silver-tungsten alloy, have excellent electrical conductivity and high temperature ablation resistance. The power of the AC toucher is derived from the magnetic field generated by the AC through the coil with the core, and the electromagnet core is composed of two small silicon steel sheets in the shape of a "mountain", and a fixed iron core is sleeved with a coil, and the operating voltage can be selected in a variety of ways. In order to stabilize the magnetic force, a short-circuit ring is added to the suction surface of the core. After the AC toucher loses power, it is reset by relying on the spring. The other half is the movable core, which has the same structure as the fixed core, and is used to drive the closure and disconnection of the main contact and the auxiliary contact. Touchers of 20 amps or more are equipped with an arc extinguishing cover, which uses the electromagnetic force generated when the circuit is disconnected to quickly break the arc and maintain the contact. The LS touch device can be operated at a high frequency, up to 1200 times per hour when the power is open and shut-off. The service life of the touch device is very high, the mechanical life is generally millions to 10 million times, and the electric life is generally hundreds of thousands to millions of times.

In terms of electrical engineering, LS toucher is often used as a control target for motors because it can quickly cut off the AC and DC main circuits and can frequently switch on and control high-current (some types can reach 800 amperes) circuits, and can also be used to control power loads such as factory equipment, electric heaters, machine tools and various power units. The touch device has a large control capacity, which is suitable for frequent operation and long-distance control. It is one of the important elements in the automatic control system. In industrial electrical, there are many types of LS touch devices, and the current ranges from 5A to 1000A, and its use is quite extensive.
