The digital output point of the pLC is used to control the start and stop of the inverter (hereafter referred to as the -VFD). If the pLC is a relay output, it can be connected directly to the VFD's engine signal terminal. In the case of voltage output, it can be converted into a passive contact through a relay, followed by an activation signal terminal. In this way, the output of the pLC can be manipulated to start/abort the VFD.

Frequency VFD for pLC manipulation: There are generally two ways to do this

1. Imitation control: The imitation input and output module can select 0-10V voltage or 4-20mA current output to control the frequency of VFD according to the specific requirements of VFD, and the frequency response of VFD can be selected according to the requirements of imitation input for acquisition (can also be selected without selection, open-loop control).

2. Serial bus communication control. High-end VFDs have communication interfaces, such as uss, profibusDp, simolink, etc. , the frequency value can be given through the communication port (or communication module) of the pLC. The VFD communicates with the pLC.

Through bus communication, all VFDs (within the bus address size) on the bus can be controlled by a communication port (or equipped with a communication module component). However, each channel must have a VFD that mimics the output module manipulation. Both options are feasible, depending on the application.
