Standardized procedures for safe operation of generator sets

1. Preparation before starting

(1) The operators of the computer room should abide by the safety operation procedures, wear work clothes and insulated shoes, and the crew should have a clear division of labor.

(2) Check whether the flywheel and part of the generator are not defective.

(3) Check the gearbox, clutch, governor, oil level, fasteners, etc., admit that there is no defect, and the oil and water temperature is not lower than 20 degrees before starting.

(4) Set the pipeline gate of each system in the "operation" direction.

(5) Check the link bolts of the transmission mechanism and tighten them.

(6) Whether the pressure of the clutch handle is normal and whether the overspeed safety device is positioned.

(7) Check whether the pressure of the gas storage cylinder is normal and whether the overspeed safety device is positioned.

(8) Open the blowdown valve of the pump pump.

(9) Check whether the circulating water pump, oil pump and fuel pump are normal.

(10) Put the excitation resistance in the direction of the maximum resistance and disconnect the power transmission switch.

2. Starting and running operation

(1) For units that have been shut down for more than 24 hours, the test valve must be opened first, and the oil pump must be started. For units that have been shut down for more than 7 days, the insulation resistance of the exciter and the operating circuit should be measured, and the requirements must be met. Roll a few times with a manual crank (referring to the condition of closing the prime mover and using the manual wheel to roll the generator), drag the diesel engine to idle a few times with the free start motor to drain the oil and water in the cylinder, and then close the test valve and close the front clutch.

(2) Start the fuel pump, release the air in the pipeline, and check whether the voltage is within the specified range. If it is normal, it can be officially started.

(3) Check whether the voltage of the starting power supply meets the requirements. If the voltage is normal, press the start button and release it after the diesel engine is running normally.

(4) When the diesel engine is running, investigate the indicated value of the oil pressure gauge, and when it rises above the regular value, stop the oil pump, close the blowdown valve of the scavenger pump, and wear the front clutch screw.

(5) When the generator set starts, it is considered that the generator and all electrical equipment are electrified, and the human body shall not touch the live parts.

(6) After the diesel generator set starts, the speed of the diesel engine should be gradually increased, and the check should be carried out before power transmission.

(7) Gradually adjust the speed of the diesel engine, but pay attention to check whether the generator is running normally when adjusting. Under normal conditions, the brushes on the collector ring and commutator should have no jumping, no sparking, and no abnormal sound.

(8) Adjust the voltage and frequency of the generator output, the voltage value should be stable and reach 380V+-10V, and the frequency should reach 50Hz+-0.5Hz.

(9) When receiving the signal to prepare side by side, the synchronization table should prevail, further adjust the speed, adjust the excitation, and follow the following steps for synchronization operation:

Close the knife switch of the generator set outgoing line;

For three-phase four-wire power supply generators, the neutral grounding knife switch should be closed;

Close the synchronous indicator switch, check the phase sequence, and further conditioning;

Carefully investigate the synchronization indicator signal, and when the synchronization is reached, immediately close the main switch and send power to the system.

Note: If the synchronization meter is found to be jumping or not moving, and the synchronization indicator flashes irregularly or the brightness remains unchanged, the valve cannot be closed.

(10) During the power transmission period, the operator should leave his post without permission, and carefully make a record of the operation of the generator.

(11) During the power transmission period, if the diesel engine announces an abnormal sound, continuous smoke, the frequency drops significantly and cannot be recovered, and the ammeter pointer exceeds its rated value, the power transmission switch should be disconnected immediately, the speed of the diesel engine should be reduced, and the power supply should be suspended.
