The base module body of the PNOZ m C0 offers eight freely combinable safe digital inputs, two of which can also be used as non-safe semiconductor outputs via software configuration. The body is capable of providing four safety semiconductor outputs, each up to ISO 13849-1 PL e and IEC 61508 SIL CL 3. In addition, two test pulses are provided on the main body to monitor the safety input loop, and the test pulses can also be used as non-safety semiconductor outputs through software configuration, which can be configured as needed, making it very flexible.
Not scalable
In order to keep costs as low as possible, the base module PNOZ m C0 is not scalable and can only be used as a stand-alone. It is precisely this feature that makes it ideal for small applications.
Taking common small packaging equipment, printing equipment, machine tools and other models as an example, 2-3 safety relays may be used on the equipment originally, and there may be a certain logical relationship between the safety relays, but now 1 PNOZ m C0 can solve the problem, which not only saves the space of the electric cabinet, but also lowers the cost, and can also simplify/shorten the design workload of the safety loop logic, which is quite perfect!
The convenience of programmable safety technology
The accompanying software for PNOZ m C0 is still PNOZmulti Configurator (version v11.0 onwards), which allows users to easily create professional safety logic. Commonly used safety function blocks, such as E-STOP buttons, safety gates, safety light barriers, two-hand controls, etc., and commonly used logic function blocks, such as AND gates, OR gates, AND gates, RS triggers, timers, counters, etc., can be used with PNOZ m C0.
In order to further reduce the user's costs, the PNOZ m C0 body integrates a program memory unit, which allows the user to download the secure program to the hardware unit without having to purchase a chip card, which virtually reduces the customer's hardware costs. Of course, since PNOZ m C0 also has an integrated chip card slot area, it is still possible to use additional chip card accessories when the user needs to transfer/duplicate the program.
