A high-temperature pressure sensor is a sensor that converts pressure into an electrical signal output, which usually consists of two parts, namely a sensitive element and a conversion element. The sensitive element refers to the part of the sensor that can directly feel or respond to the measurement; The conversion element refers to the part of the sensor that converts the measured strain felt or responded to by the sensitive element into an electrical signal suitable for transmission or measurement.
Since the output signal of the sensor is generally very weak, it needs to be modulated and amplified. With the development of integration skills, people have installed this part of the circuit and the power supply circuit inside the sensor. In this way, the sensor is able to output a usable signal that is easy to process and transmit.
When selecting a high-temperature pressure sensor, we should consider his inductive accuracy, and there are many elements that form sensor errors.
1. Offset error
Since the high temperature pressure sensor has a constant straight offset over the entire pressure range, changes in converter dispersion and laser adjustment correction will result in offset errors.
2. Sensitivity error
The magnitude of the error is proportional to the pressure. If the sensitivity of the device is higher than the typical value, the sensitivity error will be an additive function of the pressure. If the sensitivity is lower than the typical value, then the sensitivity error will be a decreasing function of the pressure. The reason for this error is a change in the dispersion process.
3. Linearity error
This is an element that has little effect on the initial error of the high-temperature pressure sensor, which occurs due to the physical nonlinearity of the silicon wafer, but for sensors with amplifiers, the nonlinearity of the amplifier should also be included. Linear error curves can be concave curves or convex curves.
4. Lag error
In most cases, the hysteresis error of the high-temperature pressure sensor is completely negligible due to the high mechanical stiffness of the silicon wafer. In general, hysteresis errors only need to be considered in the case of large pressure changes.
The four errors of the high-temperature pressure sensor cannot be prevented, we can only select high-precision production equipment, use high-tech skills to reduce these errors, and can also carry out certain error calibration at the time of delivery, as much as possible to reduce the error.
