The power of the electric drive equipment is simple, the speed change scale is large, the efficiency is high, and the speed and position accuracy are high. However, they are often associated with deceleration equipment, and direct drive is more difficult.

Electric drive equipment can be divided into direct current (DC), communication (AC) servo motor drive and stepper motor drive. DC servo motor brushes are easy to wear and tear and are prone to sparks. Brushless DC motors are also becoming more and more widely used. The stepper motor drive is mostly open-loop control, which is simple to control but not large in power, and is mostly used in low-precision and low-power robot systems.

Before the electric power is turned on, the following should be checked:

1) Whether the power supply voltage is appropriate (overvoltage is likely to cause damage to the drive module); The +/- polarity of the DC input must not be wronged, and whether the motor type or current setting value on the drive controller is appropriate (not too large at the beginning);

2) The control signal wire is reliable, and it is best to consider the shielding problem in the industrial site (such as the use of twisted pair cable);

3) Don't connect all the wires that need to be connected at the beginning, only connect them into the most basic system, and then gradually connect them after they are in good operation.

4) Be sure to figure out the grounding method, or choose to float without connection.

5) Within half an hour of the beginning of operation, the state of the motor should be closely observed, such as whether the movement is normal, the sound and the temperature rise, and the machine should be stopped and adjusted immediately if the problem is found.
