1. Installation orientation

Proper installation orientation is critical to maintaining the best characteristics of the relay.

· When applying the power socket, ensure that the power socket is installed firmly, the relay pins and the power socket are reliable, the installation hole and the power socket cooperate well and the power socket and the relay fixing bracket are properly applied.

· Selection of connecting wires. If it is necessary to connect the relay with a wire, the wire with a moderate cross-section should be selected according to its load size, and the following table shows the cross-section of the current flow and the wire that should be selected.

2. Clean up the processing technology

The general cleaning of non-plastic relays should be prevented, and the cleaning of Omron relays should be done with moderate cleaning agents, and it is recommended to use Freon or ethanol; Ultrasonic cleaning should be minimized, as the pulse current of the ultrasonic frequency will cause friction welding (cold welding) of the contact points and will cause the contacts to jam. After cleaning and drying, natural ventilation should be carried out first to bring the relay down to the room temperature.

3. Shipping and installation

Omron relay is a kind of precision machinery and equipment, so it is very sensitive to the indiscriminate use of means of transportation, in the whole process of production and manufacturing has been selected many ways to make the relay in the whole process of transportation to obtain the best maintenance, so in the factory inspection and its customer after the application installation, do not have to destroy the original characteristics of the relay, in addition to the following should also be noted: in order to avoid finding out the surface of the end of the environmental pollution, do not immediately touch the end of the end, otherwise, it will cause a reduction in solderability. Find out that the web end part should be consistent with the hole spacing of the packaging printing plate, all poor coordination will lead to the risk of in-situ stress caused by the relay, endangering its characteristics and credibility, please follow the opening diagram in the sample to open the hole. Attention should be paid to checking the storage temperature to minimise the storage time of the relay (it is recommended not to exceed 3 months). Relays should be stored and installed in a clean, natural environment.

4. Apply flux

Non-plastic relays are very susceptible to environmental contamination of flux, and it is recommended to use anti-flux or plastic relays to avoid the intrusion of flux vapor from the finding end and the gap between the base and the chassis, and this type of relay is suitable for multi-bubble coated flux or painted flux processing technology. Anti-flux relays can further avoid flux intrusion if they are heated and air-dried.

5. Omron relay welding method

When applying flux or automatic welding, it should be careful, there is no need to destroy the characteristics of the relay, anti-flux relays or plastic relays can be applied to dip soldering or wave soldering process, but the maximum welding temperature and time should be controlled with the different relays selected.
