Although the resistance strain gauge load cell itself is a solid, reliable and reliable electromechanical product, the following points should be taken into account when using it to ensure test accuracy:
1. Some "baffles" should be set up around the load cell as much as possible, and even cover the sensor with a thin metal plate. This prevents debris from contaminating the sensor and some moving parts, and this "dirt" often makes the moving parts move poorly, which affects the weighing accuracy.
Whether there is a phenomenon of poor movement in the system can be judged by the following methods. That is, add or subtract about one thousandth of the rated load on the weighing platform to see if the weighing indicator reflects, and if there is a reflection, it is clear that the movable part is not "stained".
2. It should be handled with care, especially the small-capacity sensor made of alloy aluminum elastomer, any impact and drop may cause great harm to its measurement function.
Regarding the large-capacity load cell, generally speaking, it has a large dead weight, so it is required to use appropriate lifting equipment (such as chain hoist, electric hoist, etc.) as much as possible when transferring and installing.
The base of the device sensor should be flat and clean, without any oil film, adhesive film, etc. The base of the device itself should have sufficient strength and rigidity, which is generally higher than the strength and stiffness of the sensor itself.
3. Although the load cell has a certain overload capacity, the overload of the sensor should still be prevented in the process of weighing system device. It is important to note that even a short overload can result in permanent damage to the sensor.
During installation, if necessary, replace the sensor with a spacer at the same height as the sensor, and then replace the sensor at the end. In normal operation, the sensor should generally be equipped with mechanical structural parts for overload maintenance. If the sensor is fixed with a screw, a certain tightening torque is required, and the screw should have a certain thread depth.
4. Horizontal adjustment: There are two aspects of horizontal adjustment. First, the device plane of the base of a single sensor device should be adjusted with a level, and on the other hand, the device surface of the device base of multiple sensors should be adjusted to a horizontal plane (with a level) as much as possible, especially in the weighing system with more than three sensors, more attention should be paid to this.
The main intent is to make the load accepted by each sensor fundamentally common. The loading direction of each load cell is confirmed, and when we use it, we must load the load in this direction. Transverse forces, additional bending moments, and torque forces should be avoided as much as possible.
If you use it in strict accordance with the above, the measurement results obtained by the load cell will be more accurate, more convenient, and will not be easily damaged, and the service life will be extended.
