1. Recognize the type of pressure measurement, that is, to measure the gauge pressure, absolute pressure or differential pressure. Gauge pressure refers to the pressure value with atmospheric pressure as the zero point, which can have positive and negative values, positive above atmospheric pressure, and negative below atmospheric pressure. The absolute difference refers to the pressure value with the definite vacuum as the zero point, and the absolute pressure only has a positive value, and there is no negative value. Differential pressure refers to the difference between two pressures. Absolute pressure measurement is to enclose a reference pressure in the sensor chip, generally the size of this pressure as long as vacuum (less than 5mtor) and standard atmospheric pressure (14.7psi) two, refer to the vacuum of the sensor we call the absolute pressure sensor, for a standard atmospheric pressure sensor we call the sealed gauge pressure sensor. Since all sensors measure the pressure difference between the two diaphragms of the sensor, the pressure at the end of the differential pressure sensor can be changed. Therefore, the gauge pressure sensor (see the end can be connected to the atmosphere through a small hole) is only a differential pressure sensor of the general method.
2. Admit that the medium to be measured is a gas or a liquid, whether the medium to be measured is corrosive, and if it is a liquid, do you need to put the sensor into the liquid.
3. Acknowledge the scale of the measured pressure.
4. Recognize the accuracy level (accuracy). The measurement error of the pressure sensor is divided according to the accuracy level, and different accuracy levels correspond to different fundamental error limits, which are expressed as F.S%. There are several general accuracy grades on the market, such as 0.1, 0.25, 0.3, 0.5, 1.0, etc., and the selection can be carried out according to the required accuracy.
5. Recognize the scale of operating temperature. The temperature of the measured medium should be within the working scale of the pressure sensor, otherwise the error of the measurement result will be large and the life of the sensor will be affected. If the temperature of the measured medium is high, a high-temperature pressure sensor can be used, or a cold suspect tube can be installed to cool down.
6. Recognize the interface of pressure. The pressure interface is the threaded interface you need, M20*1.5 is the universal interface, and other threads can be customized.
7. Recognize the output signal. The output signal is generally 0-24mADC, 0-5VDC, 1-5VDC, 0-10VDC
8. Recognize the power supply voltage.
9. Acknowledge the working environment. Whether there are oscillations or electromagnetic interference, etc
10. Recognize the electrical connection method, etc. That is, what the pressure sensor signal outputs to, whether it is PLC or others.

Problems with differential pressure sensors – Blessing
1. Temperature
Excessive temperature is one of the common causes of differential pressure sensor failure, as there are many components of the differential pressure sensor that can only function properly within the specified temperature scale. During installation, if the sensor is exposed to temperatures beyond these temperature scales, it may be exposed to ...

Introducing encoders
The rotary encoder is an opto-mechatronic speed-displacement sensor. When the encoder shaft rotates and the grating disc rotates, the light cut out of the slit of the grating disc is received by the receiving element and an initial signal is generated. Germany is a well-known brand. The signal is reacted to by a follow-up circuit ...

Q&A on ultrasonic sensor technology
Q1: How does the ultrasonic sensor work?
Ultrasonic sensors are used to measure the detection function of emitting high-frequency sound pulses that are inaudible to the human ear, which are dispersed in the air into a conical shape and reflected back as soon as they hit an object. Ultrasonic ...

Application features of rotary incremental encoders
The rotary incremental encoder outputs pulses when it rotates, knows its orientation by the counting device, and remembers the orientation by relying on the internal memory of the counting device when the encoder does not move or the power goes out. In this way, when the power goes out, the encoder can not have any movement, and when the call is working, the encoder ...

Intake Pressure Sensor Problem Response – Blessing to the Blessing
The inlet pressure sensor is abbreviated as MAP. It connects the intake manifold with a vacuum tube, and induces the vacuum change in the intake manifold with the different speed loads of the engine, and then converts the change of internal resistance from the sensor into a voltage signal, which is used by the ECU computer to correct the fuel injection amount and ignition timing angle. Other words...

Static and dynamic characteristics of sensors – we are blessed
1. Static characteristics of the sensor
The static characteristics of a sensor are related to the static input signal, the output and input of the sensor. Since the input and output are moment-independent at this point, the connection between them (i.e., the static properties of the sensor) can be used in an algebraic equation without time variables.

Types of load cells:
Electrical strain gauge load cells:
One widely used principle is the color of a resistive strain gauge (resistance strain gauge), where the resistance is changed to an electrical output, which is then passed through an instrument to measure the mass.
Capacitive load cells: low power consumption and low cost. The principle of ...

A little bit about photoelectric sensors – a blessing
Under normal circumstances, a photoelectric sensor consists of two parts: a processing path and a processing element. Its basic principle is to use the photoelectric effect to convert the measured change into a change in the optical signal, and then use the optoelectronic components to further convert the non-electrical signal into an electrical signal. The "photoelectric effect" refers to the use of light ...
