The connection method of the Epson robot cable connection line

When unconnecting the cable, be sure to block the power supply to the controller and do so under certain conditions. There is a risk of electric shock and malfunction when working with a power supply plugged in.

Connect the cable reliably. Also, do not carry heavy objects on the cable, and do not twist, stretch, or cut the cable at the poles. It may cause damage, disconnection, and poor contact of the cable, which may cause the system to fail to operate normally and have the risk of electric shock.

Note: The corresponding manipulator serial number is recorded on the controller. Please make no mistake about the connection. Once the connection is wrong, the manipulator system will not only fail to operate correctly, but also may cause safety problems.

The articulation shown in the figure below is required to make the machine manual.

(1) Power cord

Cable with 17-pin circular adapters at both ends.

The concave adapter is attached to the POWER adapter of the manipulator, and the convex adapter is attached to the M/C POWER adapter of the controller.

Plug in the adapter and turn it clockwise until you hear a "click" to stop.

(2) Signal cable

Cable with 68-pin rectangular adapters at both ends.

They are connected to the SIGNAL adapter of the robot and the M/C SIGNAL adapter of the controller.

(3) STANDARD I/O adapter

It is an adapter used to connect the input and output devices of the user.

If there is an external I/O device, connect it to this adapter.

(4) EMERGENCY ADAPTER

It is an adapter used to connect the abnormal stop switch and the safety door switch.

To be on the safe side, please plug in the switches that are appropriate for these inputs.  

(5) AC power cord

It is a cable that provides AC 200V power to the controller.

(6) Maintain the connection of the grounding terminal

Maintenance Ground Terminal This is a terminal for maintaining the connection of the ground wire.

When using peripheral control equipment such as sequence generators in a robot system, connect this maintenance ground terminal.

Use AWG #16以上的圆线 to maintain the wiring of the ground terminal.

(7) Mouse. keyboard

It is a combination cable used to connect the mouse and keyboard. Connect the mouse and keyboard to the cable as shown in the figure.

(8) OPTIONAL DEVICE adapter

Articulation of the operating unit or ATTEND (TEACH) control device or air stopper. If nothing is connected to the adapter in this way, the manipulator will be in an abnormal abort situation and unable to operate.
