Two transmission modes for the 4-axis robot

At present, the transmission mode of 4-axis robots on the market mainly has two structures: belt and gear, during which the belt mechanism is the majority, but the gear structure also appears in some well-known.

Each of the two structures has its own characteristics, which are briefly summarized below:

Primary Belt Construction:

1. Easy to replace, low cost;

2. Because the belt is tough, even if there is a severe impact, it will not damage important parts;

3. Tooth skipping will occur, resulting in the loss of the origin;

4. There are requirements for the tension of the belt;

Secondly gear structure:

1. Tooth skipping should not occur;

2. Long life, but relatively difficult to replace;

3. In the event of a severe impact, important components may be damaged;

For example, if a customer hopes that the robot can be used for a longer time, then it is recommended to use the belt structure and replace it with a simple belt, that is, after a long time, it can also restore the factory accuracy; If the equipment is not old for a long time and you are not willing to spend a high value on maintenance, then the gear structure can be a good choice.
