                                 KUKA autonomously navigates mobile robots

This new mobile robot companion is an autonomous navigation robot characterized by "intelligence, efficiency, safety and stability" based on the KUKA Navigation Solution navigation processing solution, using laser SLAM navigation mode. It is said that it is committed to becoming the central carrier of automation, intelligence and informatization of production and manufacturing logistics.

As a new autonomous navigation robot, it not only can easily play the role of a strong man in the logistics and transportation link in production with a load of up to 600kg, but also relies on the "excellent essence" of intelligence, movement, precision, agility and stability to raise the level of internal logistics to a new height, and has become a safe and reliable partner in the workshop with employees in harmony.

The KMP 600-S diffDrive is highly flexible and can be used without any changes to the environment. With the KUKA Navigation Solution's stable navigation algorithm, it is possible to independently plan the operation path in a dynamically changing environment, and easily avoid operational obstacles.

The KMP 600-S diffDrive has excellent power performance and can run in a straight line of up to 2 m/s, effectively improving transportation efficiency and shortening transportation times.

KMP 600-S diffDrive uses laser SLAM navigation technology, which can achieve a positioning accuracy of ±10mm without the assistance of landmarks or reflectors, and is widely used in all logistics links of production and manufacturing, complete accurate material delivery, active docking and autonomous operation.

The KMP 600-S diffDrive offers a wide range of interfaces, including 24 V and 48 V power supply interfaces, EtherCAT, STO and I/O interfaces, which can be flexibly expanded to include various actuators, e.g. drum transport organizations, lifting organizations, etc. In addition, there is a built-in lifting device, which can lift up to 60 mm.

Security is of paramount importance to users. The KMP 600-S diffDrive is equipped with a new safety lidar, motor brake and emergency stop switch as standard, with a safety level of PL-d (ISO 13849) and CE functional safety standards, which can be used in various human-robot collaboration scenarios. There are multiple safety zones in the front and rear, and the AMR can dynamically adapt to different vehicle speeds and adjust the safety zones according to the orientation of the obstruction to meet various safety and obstacle avoidance needs. The protection level of the whole machine reaches IP54, waterproof and dustproof, and is suitable for various industrial environments.

Simple and efficient maintenance is one of the key factors to reduce costs, the KMP 600-S diffDrive housing is easy to disassemble, and simple tools can be used to disassemble and assemble components such as control cabinets and batteries, effectively reducing maintenance time and maintenance costs. It can work continuously and stably for a long time, with a battery life of more than 8 hours and a charging and discharging life of more than 1,500 times.
