"Digital transformation is not a choice question for traditional enterprises, but a must answer." In July this year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology and other six departments issued the "Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Cultivation and Development of High-quality Manufacturing Enterprises", in terms of guiding the high-end, intelligent and green development of high-quality enterprises, proposed to implement intelligent manufacturing engineering, manufacturing digital transformation actions and 5G application innovation actions, organize the implementation of state-owned enterprise digital transformation action plans, and create a number of manufacturing digital transformation benchmarking enterprises.

The reporter noted that since July this year, the importance of digital transformation of the manufacturing industry has been emphasized in the next five-year plan for the manufacturing industry released in many places, and "performance goals" have been proposed.

Shanghai's plan proposes 10 key tasks, the first of which is to accelerate industrial digital empowerment. Promote the all-round, full-angle and full-chain empowerment of digital technology to empower the development of the manufacturing industry, improve the intelligent production, personalized customization, networked collaboration, service-oriented extension, and digital management capabilities of enterprises, and enhance the digital competitiveness of "Made in Shanghai".

By 2025, Tianjin's goal is to basically realize digital applications for enterprises above designated size in the city, exceed 500 smart factories and digital workshops, and cultivate 10 intelligent manufacturing system solution providers with strong competitiveness.

Looking south, in Guangdong Province, the "factory of the world" with nearly 3 million industrial enterprises, digital transformation is in full swing. "Promote more than 30,000 industrial enterprises above designated size to use a new generation of information technology to implement digital transformation, drive 800,000 enterprises to go to the cloud and use the cloud to reduce costs and improve quality and efficiency, and cultivate a number of benchmark enterprises for digital transformation in the manufacturing industry." Zhejiang Province's plan also clearly states that "accelerate digital development and lead the all-round upgrading of the manufacturing industry". From the perspective of the implementation path, Zhejiang Province will start from the construction of "industrial brain + future factory", promote the innovation and development of the industrial Internet, promote the deep integration of manufacturing and modern service industries, promote the digital transformation of enterprises, and build first-class digital infrastructure.
