Panasonic Corporation announced today that Panasonic Ecosystem Co., Ltd. and Panasonic Life Solutions Viet Nam Co., Ltd. have completed the completion of a new plant in Binh Duong Province, Viet Nam, and will begin production and shipment of ceiling fans and ventilation equipment from October 13, which is the first factory of Panasonic Group in Viet Nam to handle this product category.
In recent years, there has been a growing interest in improving air quality through methods such as ventilation around the world, leading to an increasing demand for indoor air quality (IAQ)-related devices such as ventilation fans. In this context, Panasonic has been building new factories since October 2019 to meet the active global demand for ventilation solutions.
The new two-storey factory is located in the north of Ho Chi Minh City and covers an area of 49,995 square meters with a total floor area of 24,066 square meters. The plant will start producing ceiling fans for shopping malls in Viet Nam this year and add ventilation fans for domestic and foreign shopping malls in Asia, the Middle East and Africa, in the next fiscal year ending March 2023 (FY2023). As a major production center for indoor air quality-related equipment in Southeast Asia, the plant will increase the output value of Panasonic's equipment in the region by approximately 1.5 times in FY2026 compared to FY2021. In FY2024, the R&D department's focus on indoor air quality solutions will be set up on site to develop products that fit the lifestyle and needs of each country,
