Panasonic Corporation today announced that it has collaborated with Professor Emeritus Yoshio Higashiyama of Yamagata University to announce a new nanoe™ X device that generates 100 times more hydroxyl (OH) free radicals than conventional nanoe™ devices. As a result, the latest nanoe™ X device improves the efficiency of indoor air purification and deodorization.
Recently, with the change of daily life, people pay more and more attention to the indoor air environment, and the time spent indoors is getting longer and longer, and more and more people do not go out and work long distances.
Since announcing the first nanoe™ device for air improvement in 2003, Panasonic has been seeking nanoe™ skills for many years. In 2016, the skill evolved into the nanoe™ X device, which occurs 10 times more OH radicals than nanoe™*4. Now, in addition to consumer electronics such as air harmonics and air purifiers, the use of nanoe™ and nanoe™ X devices has expanded to include transportation including cars and trains, as well as public places such as hospitals and hotels. Through these efforts, Panasonic has been improving air quality to provide clean and comfortable spaces.
While the previous nanoe™ X device used a multi-lead discharge system and used a 4-pin pair electrode plate to complete the convergent discharge, the newly developed nanoe™ X device has evolved through its circular lead discharge system to add the area where OH radicals occur in a circular pattern. This allows the new nanoe™ X device to increase the number of OH radicals generated to 48 trillion free radicals per second, 100 times that of the nanoe™ device*1, all of which uphold the advantages of nanoe's weakly acidic and long-life properties. This led to the completion of the new nanoe™ X device, which has a further improved cleaning effect, as shown below.
- Time required to press cedar pollen: 1/8 (compared to conventional nanoe™ X equipment)
- Time required to remove aging odors: 1/8 (compared to conventional nanoe™ X devices)
- Time required to remove mold: 1/4 (compared to nanoe™ equipment)
Please note that these validation tests are carried out in the test room, and all of the above measurement moments are different from those measured in the actual use space.
