CHARLOTTE, NC, United States, July 29, 2021 – Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) recently announced a number of global executive hires across the Profile & Skills Group, the Intelligent Building Technologies Group and high-growth regions around the world.
Mr. Vimal Kapur, former President and CEO of Intelligent Building Technologies Group, has been hired as President and CEO of Characteristic Materials and Skills Group, based in Houston, United States. Mr. Victor has been with Honeywell for 32 years, where he led the Process Operations Division within the Feature Data & Skills Group.
Rajeev Gautam, former President and CEO of Profiles & Skills Group, has decided to retire on August 13, 2021, ending his 43-year career at Honeywell. During the transition period from the date of retirement until the end of January of the following year, Mr. Gao will work closely with Mr. Victor Kel in his capacity as President Emeritus of the Profile Data and Skills Group to ensure the smooth delivery of customer operations and to help increase the business of Honeywell UOP, which he has led for decades.
Doug Wright will succeed Mr. Michael as President and Chief Executive Officer of Building Technologies Group and will be based in Atlanta, United States. Mr. Dared joined Honeywell in mid-2020 as the Head of Fire & Security for the Intelligent Building Technologies Group, where he led the business with agility to better align with customers and market needs, achieving breakthrough growth.
Mr. Michael and Mr. David David will report to Darius Adamczyk, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Honeywell, as members of the company's management team. The recruitment of relevant personnel shall be effective from the date of issuance.
In addition, Honeywell announced the hiring of Ben Driggs as Chief Operating Officer of the Global High Growth Region, who will be promoted to Regional President, Global High Growth effective January 1, 2022. Mr. Peng will be based in Shanghai, China. Shane Tedjarati, the current CEO of the Global High Growth Region, will retire at the end of 2021. Mr. Shen spent 17 years at Honeywell, primarily leading the company's business in the emerging markets region. Mr. Shen will continue to serve as an advisor to Honeywell for the next three years.
Previously, Mr. Penn served as Vice President of Strategic Account and Corporate Development at Honeywell, where he was responsible for the company's global engagement with key customers, including plans to add new business areas and better leverage the company's product portfolio to meet the strategic needs of customers. In his new role, he will continue to leverage his extensive global experience. Mr. Penn has worked at Honeywell for more than 16 years and has held a number of executive positions, including President of Aerospace Connectivity, President of Aerospace Americas, and President of Honeywell Latin America.
