Pressure classification of Honeywell valves

Classified by nominal pressure

(1) Vacuum valve: a Honeywell valve whose working pressure is lower than the standard atmospheric pressure.

(2) Low-pressure valve: refers to the Honeywell valve with nominal pressure PN≤1.6Mpa.

(3) Medium pressure valve: Honeywell valve with nominal pressure PN of 2.5, 4.0 and 6.4Mpa.

(4) High-pressure valve: refers to the Honeywell valve with industrial pressure PN of 10-80 MPa.

(5) Ultra-high pressure valve: Honeywell valve with nominal pressure PN≥100Mpa.

Types of Honeywell valves

1. The working principle of the ball valve is to make the Honeywell valve unblocked or blocked by rotating the valve. The ball valve is light in weight, small in size, can be made into a large diameter, reliable sealing, simple structure, convenient maintenance, its sealing surface and spherical surface are always in a closed state, not easy to be corroded by the medium, and are widely used in various industries.

2. Butterfly valve, also known as butterfly valve, as the name suggests, its key components are like butterflies swinging freely in the wind. The disc of a butterfly valve is a disc that rotates around an axis inside the seat. The angle of rotation is the degree of opening and closing of the Honeywell valve.

3. The check valve is a Honeywell valve, which opens and closes automatically by the force of the fluid itself. Its function is to prevent the medium from flowing backwards. It has many names like check valve, check valve, check valve, etc. According to the structure, it can be divided into two categories.

4. Gate valve, also known as gate valve, is a widely used Honeywell valve. Its closing principle is that the sealing surface of the ram and the sealing surface of the valve seat are highly smooth, flat and consistent, and fit each other, which can prevent the medium from flowing through. The mold shape of the top mold, spring, or gate enhances the seal. It mainly plays a severing role in pipelines.

5. The plug valve relies on the rotation of the plug body around the centerline of the valve body to achieve the purpose of opening and closing. Its function is to cut off, divide the field, and change the flow direction of the medium. The structure is simple, the overall size is small, the operation only needs to rotate 90 degrees, and the fluid resistance is not large. Its disadvantages are that the switching is laborious, the sealing surface is easy to wear, it is easy to get stuck at high temperatures, and it is not suitable for adjusting the flow rate.

6. The shut-off valve, also known as the shut-off valve, is the most widely used Honeywell valve. It is popular because of its low friction between the sealing surfaces during opening and closing, durability, small opening height, easy manufacturing and easy maintenance. It is suitable not only for medium and low pressure, but also for high pressure.

7. The pressure reducing valve is an automatic Honeywell valve that reduces the pressure of the medium to a certain value. Generally, the post-valve pressure is less than 50% of the pre-valve pressure. There are many types of pressure reducing valves, mainly piston and spring diaphragm.

8. Steam traps, also known as steam resistance drain valves, steam valves, steam traps, return tanks, return gates, etc. Its role is to automatically drain the continuously produced condensate without allowing the steam to come out. There are many types of traps, including float type, float type, bell float type, pulse type, thermal type, thermal expansion type, etc. Commonly used are float type, bell float type and thermodynamic type.
