On the occasion of its first anniversary, the Low Carbon Center of the Institute of Sustainable Development of Honeywell (China) Co., Ltd. officially released the "Promoting Sustainable Development with Advanced Technology - Honeywell 2022 Green Paper on Low-Carbon Development" (hereinafter referred to as the "Green Book").
The Green Paper proposes specific strategic directions and technical recommendations for energy conservation and carbon reduction in the context of China's "dual carbon" goals, and puts forward specific strategic directions and professional technical suggestions to further help Chinese partners achieve the sustainable development goals.

What's in the Green Book?
As an important research achievement on the first anniversary of the establishment of the Low Carbon Center, the Green Paper details Honeywell's scientific research achievements in key low-carbon technology fields such as carbon capture technology, clean coal chemical technology, flow battery energy storage technology, hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) low global warming potential products, renewable diesel, aviation fuel and naphtha technology, plastic chemical recycling process and digital means, and details Honeywell's mature solutions and product portfolio, and introduces the successful experience of related technologies in global projects.
China's 14th Five-Year Plan and the formulation and implementation of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals have put forward higher requirements for low-carbon development in related industries, and also provided important opportunities for the application of sustainable technologies. The Institute of Sustainable Development of Honeywell (China) Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Honeywell Performance Materials and Technologies Group, formerly known as the Environmental Protection Research Institute of Honeywell (China) Co., Ltd., which was established in 2018. In November 2021, the Low Carbon Center officially released its first research finding, the White Paper on Low-Carbon Development of the Refining and Chemical Industry, at the 4th CIIE, which put forward strategic guidance and technical suggestions for the transformation challenges and innovation needs faced by the refining and chemical industry and enterprises in the context of the "dual carbon" goal, and provided innovative ideas for the sustainable development of the refining and chemical industry.
At the same time, the Scientific Committee of the General Research Institute of Performance Materials and Technology of Honeywell (China) Co., Ltd. was also formally established recently, chaired by Gavin Towler, Chief Technology Officer of Honeywell Performance Materials and Technology Group, and six experts at home and abroad have been invited to join. The Scientific Committee will provide guidance and support for the follow-up research and development of the Institute of Sustainable Development of Honeywell (China) Co., Ltd. and the Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute of Honeywell (China) Co., Ltd., and will be invited to participate in the writing and evaluation of relevant research reports.
